Published On: 15 January 2024|Categories: Guides, General News, Palworld|

Developed by Pocketpair, Palworld is an upcoming monster-catcher RPG that features a wide variety of Pals to tame and battle alongside. Nearing its Early Access release on January 19, many available species have already been revealed. Here’s a look at all Pals and their elements in Palworld so far.

All Palworld Pals and Elements

Up to now, Pocketpair has unveiled approximately half of the Pals set to be included in the EA version of Palworld, all of which have been showcased in the Paldeck video series on YouTube. However, numerous other Pals have been seen in trailers and screenshots, or have been mentioned in the official Discord server.

As some species are still unnamed, we have listed identifiable Pals and their elements for the time being. We will revise this list as more are officially disclosed.

How Many Pals Are in Palworld?

The Paldeck video series has only featured 51 Pals thus far, but Pocketpair has confirmed that over 100 different species will be available in Palworld, with even more to come upon its full release. When including those seen in game trailers and official images, fans can now recognize just over 80 Pals. I’m particularly fond of designs like Shadowbeak and Direhowl, so I’m eagerly anticipating what else awaits.

In addition to those highlighted in the Paldeck video series, several unnamed Pals have been glimpsed in trailers and screenshots. However, little is currently known about them. It’s likely that we’ll gain more insight into the remaining Pals set to appear in the game as we approach its Early Access launch and full release.

How Many Elements Are There in Palworld?

Ahead of Palworld’s EA launch, there are currently nine known elements that Pals can fall under, including the following.

  • Grass
  • Water
  • Flame
  • Neutral
  • Electric
  • Ground
  • Frost
  • Dragon
  • Dark

The majority of Pals are characterized by a single element, but there are certain species that can wield the power of two elements simultaneously, similar to dual-type Pokemon. This includes Pals such as Reptyro, which possesses both Flame and Ground elements.

In addition, rare specimens can occasionally emerge, showcasing unusual elements, and on occasion, even possessing a second element altogether. While these Pals are undoubtedly distinctive, this alone doesn’t ensure that they are inherently more powerful than others of their kind.

That said, breeding a range of Pals enables you to nurture stronger companions with unique element combinations. It’s not yet certain whether you can breed any two Pals you’ve captured, but I’m excited to discover which species and elements complement each other best. Meanwhile, I’m hopeful for an opportunity to raise a Frost/Dragon Pal.
